In the stunning Dolomites, North Italy, the legendary mountaineer Reinhold Messner has created the MMM Corones, the Messner Mountain Museum, devoted to his lifelong passion. Design was signed by Zaha Hadid. Naturally to get to this one is a hike. Emerging through the mountain wall on the other side, out onto the terrace overhanging the valley far below with spectacular, panoramic views, is just the ultimate reward for our collegue Ester van der Bilt.
