Hamlet on the river

Last summer, in the end of the day, co-worker Esther and her partner arrived in Baume-les-Messieurs (a hamlet on the river Seille located in a valley carved out during the Ice Age) in their camper van. After a heavy rain, just around sunset they accidentally stumbled upon a magical vantage point over the valley....
Perhaps it was the brisk wind combined with the light and silence that made this place stick with them so much. The combination of historical architecture and street lighting at dusk, set against the high cliffs, made it a magical place.For Esther, the "greatest place" in France!
